How much does a neck lift cost in Seoul, Korea?

The figure, and what it is attached to

At Rewind Plastic Surgery in Apgujeong, a neck lift is carried as one line on the fee schedule, with a second line for a facelift and neck lift performed together. Both figures are shown in the pricing section of this page as list prices: the anaesthetic fee is already inside them and VAT is added on top. The clinic does not sell the neck lift as a package with extras folded in. If the examination finds fat under the neck muscle or an enlarged gland, those are separate lines that you see, weigh and accept or decline one at a time.

Sources for the figures: Rewind's own fee schedule, which lists the neck lift alone and with a facelift, and its Korean surgical pages for the chin and deep-neck operations, which document the muscle step. Anything those sources leave out is left out here.

A cost question about a neck is really two questions. The first is what the listed line pays for: the operation the surgeon agrees to perform, with its anaesthetic. The second is whether your neck needs only that line. Most surprises in a surgical quote come from the second question, because patients arrive naming the tissue they can see in a mirror, and the examination sometimes finds the fullness or the slack sitting one layer deeper.

For travelling patients there is a practical third question, which is what the trip costs on top of the operation. Rewind publishes no flying interval for a neck lift, so the number of nights in Seoul is set by the surgeon around the first review and the removal of stitches. Budget for that before setting a Korean figure against one from home.

01Scope

Is the figure for the neck alone, or for the neck and face?

A neck-only figure and a face-and-neck figure answer different problems. Rewind keeps them on separate lines, so a quote for the combined operation should never be read against a neck-only price built on a smaller scope.

02Anaesthesia

Is the anaesthetic inside the figure?

At Rewind it is: the schedule states that listed prices include the anaesthetic fee. Which anaesthetic your neck lift uses is not published for this listing and is confirmed at the examination.

03Tax

Is VAT included?

Rewind's list prices exclude VAT, which is added to the final bill. When you compare, check whether the figure quoted at home already has sales tax inside it.

04Muscle

Is the platysma worked on inside the line?

Muscle tightening is the part of a neck lift most often left vague in a quote. Ask whether it is included and how it is done. At Rewind the operating surgeon answers that at the examination, because the schedule does not break the neck lift line into steps.

05Deep fat

Does the plan open the compartment under the muscle?

Fat beneath the platysma is a separate job with a separate figure here. A quote that includes it and one that leaves it out describe different operations, even when both carry the words neck lift.

06History

Has the neck been operated on before?

A facelift with a neck lift has one combined figure because the two are planned and performed as one operation. Nobody is asked to buy a facelift to fix a neck whose problem stops at the jaw line.

03Continuity

Which figure fits

When the neck lift figure is the right one, and when a smaller or larger line fits

The neck lift line usually fits when

  • Skin below the jaw hangs loose while your weight has been stable for some time
  • Bands at the front of the neck stand out when you grimace or tense
  • Earlier fat removal left the profile slack, with little fat left to take
  • The descent stops at the jaw line, and the cheeks and the folds beside the mouth are holding
  • You can plan for a surgical recovery, a scar in a planned position and the travel days it needs

A different figure, a delay or no surgery when

  • The fullness is mostly fat above the muscle and the skin still springs back, so the chin liposuction line is the smaller answer
  • The jowls, cheeks and folds have dropped along with the neck, so the combined facelift line replaces this one
  • The bulge under the jaw turns out to be the gland
  • Smoking continues, a bleeding or clotting disorder is present, blood-thinning medication cannot safely be paused, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding

A quote covers the operation. The weeks after it cost time and money of their own, and for a patient flying in they are often larger than expected. Named risks of neck surgery include bleeding and a blood collection under the skin, infection, prolonged swelling, asymmetry, thickened or widened scars, numbness in the skin of the neck, injury to the nerve supplying sensation around the ear or to the facial nerve branch near the jaw line, poor healing at a wound edge (more likely in smokers), and a result that leads to a second operation. Neck lift cost in Korea: eight questions before a figure is agreed

How much does a neck lift cost in Seoul?
Rewind lists a neck lift at ₩5,000,000 and a facelift with neck lift at ₩14,000,000. Both are list prices that include the anaesthetic fee, with VAT added. A quote may add a line if the examination finds fat under the muscle or an enlarged gland, each with its own figure.
Does a neck lift package include platysma tightening?
Rewind does not sell a neck lift package. The neck lift is a single listed operation, and its main page describes it as work on skin and on the platysma. Whether muscle tightening is part of your own plan, and how it is done, is confirmed by the surgeon at the examination and written into the quote.
Is the anaesthetic charged separately?
